Nomad Racing Class: Sedan - Trans Am
This 1970 Chaparral Chevrolet # 1 "Factory" Trans Am Camaro was built by Jim Hall's Chaparral Cars, Inc. and originally driven by Jim Hall. The car won the 1970 Watkins Glen Trans-Am race, giving Team Chaparral its first win. It finished sixth in the 1970 Trans-Am Championship Driver's Standings, with Jim Hall as the driver. Other drivers in the 1970 Trans-Am Series were Ed Leslie, Vic Elford, and Joe Leonard in the # 2 sister car. This car is one of three built, but is the only one known to exist and is currently campaigned by Mark Mountanos. The Scalextric model: The simple but instantly recognizable blue and white livery of the Chaparral Cars team is superbly replicated here on the 1970 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Chaparral genius Jim Hall. The Scalextric car has the usual high level of attention to detail inside and out including the clear front air splitter beneath the front bumper. An excellent addition to your Trans-Am stable. This Digital Plug Ready (DPR) car can be converted for use with the Scalextric Digital range in under sixty seconds using the C8515 Digital Plug. The car features adjustable Magnatraction™ positions and easy change pick-ups. Additional Images: (Click on a thumbnail to see a full-size picture)
